Kroger Stores to Stop Selling Ground Beef With "Pink Slime"

Kroger Stores (including Dillons) announced yesterday they will stop selling ground beef with Lean Finely Textured Beef, or what has also been called "pink slime". Kroger, the nation's largest traditional grocery retailer, employs more than 339,000 associates who serve customers in 2,435 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 31 states under two dozen local banner names including Kroger, City Market, Dillons, Jay C, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, King Soopers, QFC, Ralphs and Smith's.

Many other stores have made the decision to discontinue selling the product as well. Hopefully everyone else will be FORCED to. If you aren't familiar with what "pink slime" is, it is basically the TRASH of the beef soaked in ammonia then ground and used as filler in ground beef. YUCK.
